- New European hub opens at deep-tech hotspot
- Humanoid development to be fully based in Zurich
- Site to support research and development as well as the expansion of the Physical AI ecosystem through new partnerships
Zurich/Metzingen, December 09, 2025 – NEURA Robotics is opening a new location on Zollikerstrasse in Zurich. With 1,800 square meters across three floors, the company is establishing another European hub for research, development, and partner collaborations in the field of Physical AI. One major focus is the holistic development of the humanoid robot 4NE1, which will now take place entirely at the Swiss site. Production of the robots will remain in Metzingen. The first 800 square meters are already occupied, with another 1,000 square meters to follow in 2026.
Zurich’s Seefeld district is one of the city’s most dynamic and international areas – a key deep-tech hotspot that benefits from its direct proximity to ETH’s robotics labs and leading research institutions.
David Reger, founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics, explains the strategic importance of this location decision in light of the company’s goals: “With the Neuraverse, we are creating the ecosystem that connects cognitive robots – from industrial to household applications – with infrastructure and devices. This foundation enables, for the first time, the scale we need to confront the major challenges of the future. Zurich not only strengthens the holistic development of our humanoid robot 4NE1 – from Physical AI and sensor technology to cognitive capabilities. The Zurich tech hub, with its exceptional talent base, strong deep-tech community, and ETH, is the ideal place to advance the next generation of humanoid systems and strategically accelerate our entire ecosystem.”
The Seefeld location combines excellent infrastructure with a high quality of life – an aspect that also reflects the company philosophy, “We serve humanity.” Cognitive robots are intended to give back time, safety, and dignity where the rapid pace of modern life pushes human needs into the background.
The new site will serve as a home for teams in development, operations, partner management, and customer experience. At the same time, it will act as a base for cooperation with European industrial partners and research associations.
With its expansion to Zurich, NEURA Robotics continues its mission to build the world’s leading ecosystem for the future of cognitive robotics – based on European quality, safety, and responsible AI development.

About NEURA Robotics
NEURA Robotics was founded in 2019 by David Reger to close critical innovation gaps and usher in the era of cognitive robotics. The award-winning innovators from Metzingen pursue a strict “one-device” approach across their entire product range – from industrial to household robots. With the “Neuraverse,” the company is creating the foundation for the iPhone moment in robotics, bridging the gap between technology and humanity. All innovations and technological components required for this success, including AI, are developed in-house by NEURA Robotics. NEURA’s cognitive robots can see, hear, and feel. They operate fully autonomously and learn from experience. Supported by a rapidly growing global partner network, NEURA is now well on its way to bringing the first general-purpose humanoid robot to market.
