Metzingen/Berlin, September 10, 2025 – NEURA Robotics has been honored with the 2025 German Founders’ Award in the “Rising Star” category. This prestigious accolade recognizes the company’s remarkable journey from a start-up to a global technology leader in just a few years. Guided by its vision of cognitive robotics, machines capable of hearing, seeing, feeling, and interacting naturally with humans, NEURA Robotics is redefining global standards in robotics. Its groundbreaking innovations are helping address some of the most urgent challenges of our time: tackling skilled labor shortages, alleviating the care crisis, and safeguarding Europe’s long-term competitiveness on the global stage. The award ceremony took place yesterday evening at the ZDF Hauptstadtstudio in Berlin and was broadcast live nationwide.
David Reger, Founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics, commented: “This award is a signal that NEURA Robotics is not only capable of inventing future technologies, but also of leading them to become global successes. Our mission is clear: we are building the next evolutionary stage of robotics right here in the heart of Europe. Not as science fiction, but as a reality for millions of people, at home and at work. The Founders’ Award shows that we don’t just have potential, we have already proven it. And this is only the beginning.”

The German Founders’ Award is considered the most prestigious honor for entrepreneurs in Germany. Presented annually by stern, the Sparkassen, ZDF, and Porsche, the award recognizes individuals and companies who shape new markets with courage, innovation, and sustainable entrepreneurship. In the “Rising Star” category, the jury honors companies that have demonstrated impressive growth, entrepreneurial excellence, and international impact within a short period.
Alongside NEURA Robotics, this year’s nominees included Black Semiconductor from Aachen and Planet A Foods from Planegg. The laudatory speech was delivered by Albrecht Reimold, Member of the Executive Board Production and Logistics at Porsche AG. In his speech, he emphasized the role of NEURA Robotics as a pacesetter in the future-defining field of human-robot interaction.
By winning the “Rising Star” award, NEURA Robotics joins a distinguished group of success stories that showcase how entrepreneurial vision and determination are shaping Germany as a hub of innovation.

About NEURA Robotics
NEURA Robotics was founded in 2019 by David Reger with the mission to close key innovation gaps and usher in the era of cognitive robotics. The award-winning innovators from Metzingen follow a consistent “one-device” approach across their entire product portfolio – from industrial to household robots. The idea is comparable to a smartphone with arms and legs, uniting all essential components and sensors for physical artificial intelligence in a single device. With the “Neuraverse,” the company is creating the foundation for the iPhone moment of robotics, bridging the gap between technology and humans. Core cognitive capabilities, safety features, an operating system, and a partner-open development environment enable robotics applications to scale in unprecedented ways. A growing app ecosystem and autonomous learning empower robots of all forms to enter everyday society with exceptional flexibility and cost efficiency. The Robotics Hub emerging around NEURA is attracting international market leaders. NEURA Robotics has established partnerships with Kawasaki Robotics, Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies, Delta Electronics, and other leading manufacturers. All innovations and technological components required for this success, including AI, are developed in-house. This has set new standards in physical AI, precision, and safety. NEURA’s cognitive robots can see, hear, and have a sense of touch. They act fully autonomously and learn from experience. Today, NEURA is on the path to bringing the first general-purpose humanoid robot to market. At the OMR opening ceremony in Hamburg in May 2025, the world’s first household robot, MiPA, was unveiled.
