From October 12 to 16, 2026, the 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) brought more than 3,000 exhibitors to the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. For NEURA Robotics, CIIF 2026 was our first major booth at a trade fair in China. In Hall 8.1, we showed our robot family working side by side, one year after opening our hub in Hangzhou.
Different bodies, different tasks
CIIF is a fair about manufacturing, the booth focused on use cases factories and stores need done every day. Much of it is repetitive and hard to staff, and that is where we think robots can take over hours that go back to people.
- Welding, screwing and electronics handling. LARA cobots welded, tightened screws and handled printed circuit boards, routine tasks in many production lines.
- Retail. MiPA showed a relevant use case use case for the retail industry, taking products from a shelf.
- Meeting visitors. Our humanoid 4NE1 handed giveaways to visitors at the booth, one of the most photographed moments of the week.

One platform behind every robot
The use cases are different from an industry to another and from a step of the process to the next one. We’re building robots in multiple form factors but also the connecting layer. On our booth, you could see the different forms tackling different jobs and what connects them, the Neuraverse, our platform for building, testing and sharing robot applications. Two MAiRA cognitive robots, linked through the Neuraverse, showed for example how an application is put together in a no-code node graph and checked in a digital twin before it runs on the real robot.
Urs Läuppi, Chief Strategy Officer at NEURA Robotics, was on site and delivered a keynote, about the ecosystem we are building. Bridging it with a major announcement we had the same week, as we also introduced Neuron AI, our foundation model built to bring shared intelligence to different kinds of robots.

A room full of questions
CIIF brings together global players and Chinese companies from across the industrial value chain. Robotics remains a highly connected, global industry, and it moves forward through open exchange with customers, partners and peers. Over five days, our teams from Metzingen and Hangzhou ran the booth together and answered questions from the many very enthusiastic visitors on everything from cobot welding to humanoids.

The fair also marked one year of our hub in Hangzhou, which opened in October 2025. The local hub has a showroom with all our products, and the first NEURA Gym in China is being set up on the same site.
Thank you, Shanghai
Thank you to every visitor, partner and colleague who stopped by Hall 8.1 and to the team who made the booth possible. Since 2019, we have been building robots that do real work and serve the people around them. CIIF 2026 showed today how far that idea has travelled.
